You know when people try to give you tips about how doing all the ~little things~ can help you lose weight or (or keep it off) in the long run? Like, park at the end of the parking lot to get extra steps in, always take the stairs, or blot your pizza to remove the excess grease?

While it sounds like doing something that’ll burn an extra 50 calories throughout the day isn’t really worth doing, we promise you, it is! And in this case, making this *one* tweak to your coffee order could help you keep off a few pounds a year.

Rutgers University conducted a study in which they tracked “regular” and “lite” latteĀ drinkers at a Dunkin’ Donuts over a period of a few weeks. In the next part of the experiment, when customers ordered a latte, Dunkin’ employees asked if they wanted to make it a “lite” latte.

Over 50% of customers actually ordered a “lite” latte when asked, and while that doesn’t really sound like that big of a deal, here’s why it is.

And honestly, you probably won’t even be able to tell that you’re not drinking a full-sugar, full-fat latte! Plus, even if you’re not trying to lose weight, you can use this trick to balance outĀ indulging in other foods, like PIZZA and GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICHES.
