Chrissy Teigen gave birth to her first child back in April, and ever since, she’s been working on getting her body back to normal. You know, as most women do after they’ve carried another human inside of them for nine whole months.

She isn’t killing herself in the gym, though, and she certainly still lives her life and enjoys food just as much as she did pre-baby (as she makes very clear via Instagram).

After all, she’s the author of the best-selling cookbook “Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat.”

But as someone who was featured in Sports Illustrated sporting nothing but bikinis from 2010 through 2014, many people assume Teigen just automatically lost all of her baby weight and is magically super comfortable throwing on one of her old bikinis.

But nope. She’s a real human and has insecurities just like everyone else.

And that’s totally fine! Having a baby does crazy things to a woman’s body, and there’s absolutely no timeline for how long it takes to be comfortable wearing a bathing suit again. It all depends on the person and what feels right for them. There are no rules when it comes to post-baby bodies (or bodies, in general) and no one should make new moms feel pressured to do anything other than what’s best for themselves and their families.
