Recently, “like a girl” has experienced a rebirth: Once used as a sexist jab, the phrase is quickly becoming the empowering descriptor it was destined to be — and we couldn’t be happier to see it.

It’s no secret that we at HelloGiggles think girls of all ages are just as capable of incredible things as their boy counterparts; and we’re definitely not alone in our opinions. From President Obama to Maisie Williams, it seems like everyone agrees that doing something “like a girl” means you’re doing pretty great.

But in case you’re just not convinced of the “like a girl” renaissance, let 9-year-old Jesse Jane McParland show you what’s up. In a recent video, McParland shows off her mega-impressive sword wielding skills — and proves she’d be right at home fighting villains with the best of them. (The epic background music definitely contributes to these vibes.) If they ever do a kid-friendly version of Kill Bill, our vote goes to her for The Bride.

The video is all kinds of awesome, and McParland absolutely kills it. Don’t just take our word for it, though: Earlier this year, McParland showed off her skills on Britain’s Got Talent, and even Simon Powell was impressed.

Let’s be clear: This girl is a total badass, and we’d definitely want her on our team any day. Check it out for yourself below.
