There might be a ghost on horseback prowling around an English cemetery, and it’s straight up like something right out of Sleepy Hollow. Richard Durham snapped the photo on New Year’s Day at the Weedon Bec cemetery in Daventry, Northamptonshire. He wasn’t out ghost-hunting or anything. He was just on a walk. (In a cemetery…color us intrigued.) He told The Sun, “All I was doing was trying to get a few nice weather shots on a frosty and misty morning. It is quite an old village so probably has a few stories to tell.”

As he was clicking away, it seems a ghostly horse and rider rode through his pics. (Don’t you just hate it when that happens?) Durham didn’t notice the spooky image in his photo until his friend Heather Burton pointed it out. Then he uploaded the pic to Facebook, where commenters had a field day picking the photo apart.

More than one person mentioned that according to legend, a church in the area is haunted by a horseman. (I told you guys, total Sleepy Hollow material.) Durham told The Sun, “Locals have been telling me the pub down the road is haunted by a horseman. Apparently he used to walk there from the main church though the graveyard and up along the canal. So maybe this is him.”

What do you think? Can you see the hooded rider on horseback?

We’re not completely sure what we’re looking at, but just in case, we’re taking Tom Mison along with us the next time we find ourselves in that particular spot. You know, just in case.
