I spend a lot of time online looking at pictures of cute dogs, and this is on top of the fact that I actually have a cute dog myself that I can look at IRL. But sometimes you fall into this hole of looking at li’l dogs online for hours on end, and now at the top of this endless online cuteness spiral sits Millie. She is a 4-year-old basset hound and she is ADORABLE. Her last name also happens to be Clooney.
Millie is a rescue dog, and was living at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society after being discovered all alone outside of a nearby restaurant (hold on, crying a little bit).
Well, just how I spend hours looking at dogs online, it seems as if George (Clooney, duh) and Amal like to do the same. They spotted Millie’s picture online, hopped in the car, and drove off to meet her. They even brought along their current dog, Louie, to meet Millie and make sure that the two dogs would get along!
“[The Clooneys] were searching for a basset hound and saw Millie’s picture on Petfinder,” San Gabriel Valley Humane Society writes on their website. “They did a ‘meet and greet’ with her and spent time introducing her to their other rescue, a cocker spaniel named Louie. It was good news that Millie and Louie hit it off and the happy, new family headed home together! We hope Millie will stay in touch and send photos.” YEAH. We want to see a TON of photos, too!
“Millie found her forever home and the Clooneys have a new best friend,” Jennifer Clarke, the shelter’s social media coordinator, told People. “They all left together as one big happy family!”
From the picture above, Millie appears to be the life of the party. Can’t wait for way more pictures of the whole family playing fetch in the backyard.
