Photo project imagines 'Garbage Pail Kids' as adults, is weird and glorious
Remember Garbage Pail Kids, you guys? Dig deep in your memories, like Polly Pockets and Pogs deep. There we go. We all got a good laugh back in the day from these gross-out trading cards, which were designed to parody the Cabbage Patch Kids. Oh, Memory Lane, you are so fun to walk down!
Well, as Laughing Squid just reported, two awesome dudes, photographer Brandon Vogues and digital imaging artist Jordan Gaunce of Bruton Stroube Studios recently got their nostalgia on and just unveiled their photo project “Garbage Pail Kids: Where Are They Now?” imagining what the Garbage Pail Kids of the mid-1980’s would look like 30 years later in the mid 2010’s.
So, without further ado, let’s take a VH1 “Where Are They Now?” look at the Garbage Pail Kids!
Armpit Britt was ahead of her time, now that it’s 2015, her body hair is Tumblr-approved.
Bony Tony joined the cast of “Magic Mike XXL”
Noah Body… still does not have a body.
So how did this weird wonderfulness happen? As photographer Voges explains on the Bruton Stroube site:
We can’t wait for more of these hilariously “updated” trading cards. You guys know how much we love a retro reunion here at HG.
