Apologies to all the other delicious milkshakes out there, but it’s going to be hard to compete with a unicorn milkshake that has a rainbow braid made of marshmallows. Yes, you read that correctly. It’s called the Unicorn Parade and people are flocking to the New York City dessert shop New Territories to taste a drink that is essentially Lisa Frank in a mason jar.

You may be wondering what qualifies a snack as Unicorn Food, and we’re glad you asked. Sprinkles, candy, and bright colors are a must, and the Unicorn Parade contains an abundance of these ingredients.

The milkshake is made with Van Leeuwen ice cream, and topped with ube swirl. Ube, a dessert that originated in the Philippines, is a bright purple sweet potato that’s boiled and mashed with condensed milk and butter.

The colorful milkshake is served in a mason jar that’s half-covered in rainbow sprinkles (of course). It’s topped off with marshmallow pocky sticks, an edible butterfly, and that amazing rainbow braid. And, yes, it’s as beautiful as it sounds.

Needless to say, Instagram is flooded with images of the Unicorn Parade — because, really, it would be wrong to not share its beauty with the world.

Here’s a video to get the full effect. (Well, minus the part of actually being able to drink the milkshake.)

It’s almost too beautiful to drink — but the winter temps in New York City can’t stop visitors and locals from indulging in this magical treat.
