Twitter is vocal about pretty much everything — which is both a blessing and a curse. As we all remember, Starbucks experienced this first-hand when the coffee chain released its “controversial” red holiday cup two years back. So when Starbucks released their new fall cups, we were secretly a little on edge to see how Twitter was going to react.
The tweets are in and…Twitter loves them.
Similar to the red holiday cup, Starbucks released a minimalist fall-colored cup with a white circle on the side. For a limited time each tall, grande, and venti size cup gets its own autumn-themed illustration in the white dot.
Starbucks lovers have taken to Twitter to share their admiration for the chain’s creative cup introduction. When you order, it’s up to fate as to which cup you’ll get.
We’re currently trying to catch them all.
And if you receive a plain colored cup, you can pencil in your own design while riding the train on your morning commute.
Or you can doodle on it while procrastinating. We won’t tell your boss, we promise.
In our world, where social media reigns supreme, it’s pretty important to win over the masses when initiating a new marketing campaign. So far, Starbucks is once again on top in the eyes of its loyal caffeinated subjects.
You can never go wrong with fall colors and cute pumpkins, pies, and owls. Starbucks, you’ve done it again, and we commend you. If you need us, we’ll be in line trying for that teal-colored cup next.
