Summer has yet to ease up off the gas, but apparently the folks over at Cheerios couldn’t wait for the overwhelming heat and humidity to subside before re-introducing the celebrity of fall flavors.  That’s right — we’re talking the return of ~pumpkin spice~, guys. Finally, the long-awaited Pumpkin Spice Cheerios are officially a thing. Don’t bother giving us side-eyes of suspicion, because this is, in fact, real life.

Back in April, General Mills announced the gluten-free, limited-edition Pumpkin Spice Cheerios, which are available in stores beginning this month. Popsugar noted the cereal’s “crunch and spice finish,” which basically sounds like bliss in a box.

As you’ll recall, last year the world collectively lost its mind over McDonald’s pumpkin spice coffee. Additionally, the new flavor-induced mania spawned a pumpkin spice horror film and even had people dying their hair to match their Pumpkin Spice Lattes.

Given the long-standing obsession with all things pumpkin spice, we can’t imagine that the reception of these Cheerios will be any less intense. We can’t wait to give them a try along with all the other new pumpkin spice-flavored treats that fall is sure to bring.
