Our love affair for Starbucks runs deep, because they keep introducing mouth-watering new summer drinks to tease our taste buds.

But in any relationship, there are the highs and the lows, and now, Starbucks is just toying with our emotions.

Today’s Starbucks-related news is not great because it involves a shortage of one of our favorite (and critical) ingredients.

According to Business Insider, Starbucks all across the country are running out of —wait for it—coconut milk! This is due to the fact that it’s included in many of the hugely popular summer drinks, such as the Pink drink. Then there’s the iced coconut milk mocha macchiato, which obviously uses coconut milk as the base of the drink.

We’re trying to remain calm here, but it’s so hard!

And we’re not the only people who feel like this.

So00000. What does this mean?!

Well apparently, things are going to be okay. “We’re happy to confirm that Starbucks has a healthy coconut milk supply,” a Starbucks spokesperson told Business Insider. “As you can imagine, our stores may run low on product from time to time, but this is not something we’re seeing at our stores across the board.”

(Although, it really sounds like that’s exactly what we’re seeing across the board.)

PHEW. It appears that there’s no issue with the supply chain of coconut milk yet, but that Starbucks collectively underestimated just how much coconut milk they would need to fulfill the customer demand. So, hopefully they’ve realized their mistake, and it won’t happen again.

More importantly, we hope Starbucks build more drinks around coconut milk, because it’s the perfect alternative to dairy milk for those who are lactose-intolerant, or who just prefer the taste of coconut.
