The best part of waking up isn’t Folgers. Although, that’s pretty good, too. It’s cereal. Because cereal is the best part of food in general. If you’re a cereal connoisseur, or just a regular cereal eater, you know that one of life’s greatest dilemmas is how to solve cereal sogginess.

It’s just a fact of life. Cereal + milk = sogginess.

But you shouldn’t have to speed-eat your cereal to prevent it from turning soggy. You wouldn’t be getting the most out of each bite, and that’s not fair to you or the cereal. Well, someone on Twitter may have come up with a life-changing solution to this historical problem.

Earlier this month, Mabel Ye tweeted what she thought was the best strategy for eating cereal sans sogginess. Here’s what you do: Pour yourself a bowl of cereal, but instead of pouring milk on top of the cereal, pour it into a cup. Take a spoonful of cereal and gently dip it into the milk.

And voila! You avoid sad, soggy bites.

We have to admit, it’s a pretty solid solution (because the cereal is solid…not soggy…get it?). But not everyone thinks so. People on twitter have opinions about the food hack, and they’re making their opinions known.

Some asked one question that we completely understand — who has time for dunking??

While others were just… no.

And then there was one single person who thinks the sogginess is the best part (which he’s obviously wrong about).

So where do we go from here? Well, you can either take the next step and change your cereal eating strategy, or just keep eating your cereal the way you’ve been eating it for your entire life. Because you’re in charge of you.
