It’s kind of crazy how fast artificial intelligence is becoming an everyday thing in the world. Take food delivery, for instance. Big companies want to make it as easy as humanly possible for you to place an order and eat that delicious meal; that’s why you can order a pizza from Domino’s on Twitter (but there are many other ways to get one of their pies home).
And now the Pizza Hut is trying to make ordering pizza as easy as texting a friend (which is, TBH, great, because we text our friends about pizza all the time anyway).
The pizza mega-chain just launched a chatbot ordering service which works with Twitter and Facebook Messenger. All you need is your phone and a Pizza Hut account, and you’re good to go!
As well as placing an order for you to get the extra cheesy pizza of your dreams, the chatbot is able to answer questions and offer special deals relevant to your local store, which adds to the user-friendly aspect and (sort of) human element of the service.
The chatbot will be available for use in August, and we can’t wait to give it a test-run. So basically, in the future, ordering pizza is almost as easy as it was in Back to the Future. Yay, technology!
