It’s the most wonderful time of the year, because today is National Cookie Day!

National Cookie Day is celebrated every December 4th, and it provides the perfect opportunity to snatch up some discounted or even free holiday-themed cookies to share with your friends or co-workers this week. Whether you’re a peanut butter-lover or all about the chocolate chips, here are the places where you can indulge your inner Cookie Monster and score some FREE (or deeply-discounted) cookies. Because free cookies are the best cookies.

Mrs. Fields

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of National Cookie Day, Mrs. Fields will give away a FREE regular sized chocolate chip cookie to the first 400 visitors to each of their store locations. Check their website to find out where the closest location is to you.

Great American Cookies

In case one freebie isn’t enough, Great American Cookies is also giving away one free chocolate chip cookie per person to everyone who stops into one of their stores in 30 states on December 4th. Find a location nearest you on their website.

Cinnabon

Just in time for National Cookie Day, Cinnabon is debuting a “Cookie BonBite,” which is a cookie with a bite of a Cinnabon inside. The $2.99 cookie will only be available for a limited time, and customers who purchase one on National Cookie Day will get a free 8 oz bottle of milk to wash it down.

Nestle Toll House

At participating locations, Nestle Toll House will also be giving out a free regular sized cookie on December 4th.

Whole Foods

The grocery chain is offering a 50% discount off their “cookie bar” from Dec 1st through 4th at stores across the country.

Insomnia Cookies

With any purchase at an Insomnia Cookies location today, the chain will add in a free cookie of your choice as a bonus. Check to see if there’s a location near you.
