McDonald's mozzarella sticks are missing a seriously crucial ingredient
There’s practically nothing that would make me say “no” to a mozzarella stick. I mean, it’s fried cheese. Come ON. Is there really anything better than that? Throw in some marinara, and it’s actual heaven. But there is *one* thing that can make a mozzarella stick not-so-tasty. . . getting rid of the mozzarella. Sounds ridiculous, but it’s something that’s happening on a pretty consistent basis with McDonald’s new mozzarella sticks.
The sticks were released nationwide as part of a new promotion called McPick 2, which allows you to choose two of the following for $2: a McChicken, a McDouble, small fries, or mozzarella sticks. And since you can get plain ol’ McDonald’s fries any day, many have been opting for the mozzarella sticks… only to find that they have no cheese.
Which just means it’s hollow breading, and that’s not enticing.
We can understand the annoyance. After all, McDonald’s customers are not paying for fried air. However, it looks as though not everyone is facing this profound disappointment. According to Business Insider, all of their mozzarella sticks contained cheese when they tried them in November, and many have been taking to Twitter to say that the sticks are, in fact, pretty darn good.
For some, the only grievance is that they only serve three.
Looks like ordering mozzarella sticks from McDonald’s is a game of chance for now.
