We have bad news for all you pizza fans out there, especially if you’re also McDonald’s lovers. If you’re a supporter of the famous fast food chain, then you know that McDonald’s pizza, lovingly referred to as McPizza, is a real thing. While the chain removed the item off its menu because of the lengthy cook time, over 15 years ago, two McDonald’s locations — one in Pomeroy, Ohio, and one in Spencer, West Virginia — managed to keep the McDonald’s McPizza on their menu.

The discontinuation of the beloved pizza dish comes from McDonald’s corporate office.

According to Cosmopolitan, the Pomeroy store released an official statement on the decision, saying,

People have come from all over the U.S. and Canada to try the legendary pizza, and now that slice of history is over. If you’ve ever been lucky enough to try one of these pizzas, we hope they were as good as they sound.

We’re sad to see this pizza go, and even more sad knowing we never got a chance to experience one. Maybe one day they’ll bring it back for some kind of throwback. But we’re taking a moment of silence for it, just in case.
