Low-calorie Halo Top ice cream just announced 7 new flavors, and we're drooling
Ever dreamed of eating ice cream for breakfast? Thanks to Halo Top’s new ice cream flavors, now you can. The company that brought us low-calorie and protein-packed ice cream, is back again with more delicious flavors—including Pancakes & Waffles, which actually has bits of waffles and pancakes in it. Yes, we’re serious. The company also launched six other options including Rainbow Swirl (a mix of orange, lime, and raspberry), Mochi Green Tea (inspired by the trendy Japanese dessert), Chocolate Covered Banana (containing banana ice cream with milk chocolate swirls), Caramel Macchiato (a coffee-lover’s dream with caramel ribbons), Candy Bar (made with crunchy peanuts and layers of chocolate and caramel), and Cinnamon Roll (with actual chunks of the pastry and icing swirls).
“Our fans wanted more flavors—and we did too,” Justin Woolverton, founder and CEO of Halo Top, said in a press release. “We made a list of which flavors they wanted the most and figured out how we could make them the Halo Top way.”
For those unfamiliar with the brand, making ice cream “the Halo Top way” means making it lighter. Each pint of ice cream contains between 240 to 360 calories, plus 5 grams of protein. The brand has commanded the dessert scene with its 17 delectable flavors like Salted Caramel and Peanut Butter Cup. In fact, Halo Top became the best-selling ice cream pint in the U.S. earlier this week, surpassing longtime staples like Haagen Daz.
The new flavors won’t hit store shelves until later this month, but rest assured they’re on their way.
