Kristen Stewart has always been a private person, one who remained serious and expressionless when in public situations. Yet, as she’s grown up and gotten more comfortable with herself, Kristen has been leaving her reservations in the past and is now looking to open up – especially when it comes to her love life.

“I’ve discovered a way to live my life and not feel like I’m hiding at all,” Stewart told the Los Angeles Times.

Kristen continued by stating that if anyone cares to look, they will see that she’s being open and candid about the partners in her life. She explained, “It’s more apparent that I’m more relaxed than I used to be.” The actress is most likely referring to the fact that paparazzi have photographed her holding hands and kissing women like French singer Soko and her personal assistant Alicia Cargile.

Somehow, as I got older, I reoriented my mind,” Kristen revealed. “I’ve gotten better at assessing people’s motivations. It’s not something I have to overtly think about – what I share and what I don’t share. It’s a natural thing.

Kristen then empowered us all when she added,

“When I was younger, I was like, ‘You’re gonna screw me over.’ Now I’m like, ‘Whatever. You can’t.’”

Though Kristen may now be living as her most authentic self, she doesn’t want everyone to think that her life is picture-perfect – especially when it comes to her emotions. “I feel really blessed to put a lot of stock in what I feel, and it’s led me to really good places,” Kristen revealed. “Like [Nicholas Hoult] said, you can’t have the highs without the lows.

Like a sponge, we’re now soaking in Kristen Stewart’s wisdom.
