Krispy Kreme

Krispy Cream just made coffee edible in the form of a cookie bar, and we’re definitely not mad about it. Because is there anything better than eating a cookie with coffee? Yes, a cookie made out of coffee.

The self-proclaimed melt-in-your-mouth bars are called Krispy Kreme Coffee Thins, and they’re made using a patented technology process that infuses the Krispy Kreme coffee flavor into the chocolate, according to Business Wire.

There are three flavors to choose from: Original Glazed, Caramel Macchiato, and Cappuccino. The bars can be found at participating Walmart, Food Lion, Southeast Grocers and Southeast Circle K  stores in the U.S.. Or they’re available for purchase online by the 12-pack for $16.85 plus tax and shipping.

“This is truly an innovative take on our classic coffee and doughnut flavors,” said Tony Thompson, President and CEO of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. “Krispy Kreme is really on the cutting edge with the introduction of edible coffee products with Tierra Nueva’s patented process. It’s allowing us to share iconic Krispy Kreme flavors in a revolutionary way.”

Three Coffee Thins are equal to one cup of coffee. So it probably wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense to replace your daily coffee with the cookies (considering each cookie contains 160 calories and 10 grams of sugar… far more than one cup of coffee), but they do seem like a fun way to treat yo self every now and then!
