We’re all about hacks that make it easier than ever to be healthier, and if there’s one product that makes this dream a reality, it’s “golden milk.” The drink, a tradition in Ayurvedic medicine and beloved by lovers of homeopathic remedies for ailments like digestive issues, is truly a must-try wellness hack. And it’s pretty tasty, too.

Sorry, coffee, but you’ve been replaced.

So what is in “golden milk?”

1. Turmeric

You may know turmeric as a main ingredient in curry (or, depending on your creativity, from your fave face mask) but this bitter spice is about to rock your world (if it hasn’t already). It’s used for everything from headaches to stomach problems to acne. It can also reduce high cholesterol. Turmeric contains curcumin, which allows it to decrease swelling and inflammation. Basically, it rocks our wellness socks.

2. Coconut Oil

By now, everyone is obsessed with coconut oil. It makes our hair happier. It makes our skin glow. And, taken internally with a sip of golden milk, it helps your heart. Why? Coconut oil has a large quantity of saturated fats and about 50% lauric acid, which means that, according to new research, the fave product helps prevent high cholesterol levels and high blood pressure. Serious YAY over here.

3. Coconut Milk

Coconut milk, coconut oil’s newly trending sibling, is also super rad for your digestion. The yummy goodness is made up of a whole lotta good stuff including lauric acid, antimicrobial lipids and capric acid, which have antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties. Heck yeah.

We can’t wait to give this pretty little health drink a try, and get to sipping our way to a happier, possibly less inflamed body! You can even try adding your own favorite spices (some people use pepper for additional punch!) to the mix to see what combo works best for you.
