Cozy up to fall with this delicious cranberry cider
Winter is coming. Luckily we live in a universe where there aren’t any white walkers, so we’re able to enjoy our seasons without the dramatic flair of “Game of Thrones”.
Still, winter can be rough. Layered clothes make it hard to move, the wind will mess up your hair and chap your lips, and let’s not even talk about what happens when it snows.
It’s tempting to handle the next few months by hunkering down inside. Unfortunately, most of us have jobs and have to go out on occasion. So, when you come back from fighting the brutal weather, we recommend making this cozy cranberry cider to keep you warm. Once you’re back from your dreadful errands, put on your favorite onesie and brew yourself a cup!
This cozy cranberry cider is quick, super easy to make, and will keep you snug while you Netflix and chill the season away. It’s the perfect beverage for not getting off the couch until it’s spring again.

1 star anise

3 orange slices
2 tbsp brown sugar
3 cups of apple cider
1 1/2 cups of 100% cranberry juice (not cocktail)
Add cinnamon sticks, star anise, allspice, cloves and ginger to pre-cut cheesecloth, and tie into a bag using either kitchen twine, or the corners of the cloth.
Dump all the ingredients right into your saucepan, and strain before serving.
Place the finished spice bag in a saucepan with the rest of the ingredients.
Bring to a boil and then reduce heat and let simmer for 15 minutes.
Remove from heat and pour finished cider into mug.
Garnish with cranberries and orange slice.
