Sometimes you discover something that’s been there all along, and the only reasonable reaction is to lose your damn mind. Like the recent discovery that Glad plastic containers have a hidden lid INSIDE the lid.

That circle in the lids of all Glad containers is actually a secondary lid for a smaller salad dressing container.

We don’t know about you, but we always just assumed that circle in the lid was a design element and not a way to store salad dressing.

Twitter user Mama Graciee posted this innocuous photo of her meal prep a few days ago.

But everyone honed in on the photo of the containers with the purple lids.

“I literally had no idea that the circles on the glad lids were for the little circle containers. Mind blowing lol,” one person wrote.

From there, that single photo started to spread:

“UM. HOW AM I JUST NOW finding out that the circle on these lids are actually lids for the tiny containers?! someone please tell me I’m not the only one who didn’t know this,” wrote one Facebook user.

No, girl, you are not the only one who didn’t know this. We are equally shook by the discovery.

Glad has even marketed the product with the built-in cap storage and yet so many of us still completely missed it.

This Glad container thing is truly a revelation. We could have been packing serving-sized dollops of dressing with our salads this whole time?
