What do we love about autumn? The saturated colors, comfort foods (an animal instinct to fuel up in order to survive cold weather), seasonal roots and vegetables. Would you add pizza to the list? Well, you ought to, since #autumnpizzas are a thing! How do you make one? Take every food you associate with autumn: apples, pumpkins, squash, nuts, seeds, beans, and put them on a pizza. Easy.

Pepitos

Roasted butternut squash and pine nuts

Baked pumpkin

Fig and prosciutto

Butternut squash and spiced sunflower seeds

Pumpkin and frizzled sage, whatever that is, looks delicious

Caramelized onion and roasted squash

Zucchini Carpaccio and pistachio cream

Pistachio cream with smoked mozzarella. We must have this pistachio cream!

White bean puree makes the base for this one

This one’s vegan!

Shaved brussel sprouts and Bresaola (salted beef)

Since eating seasonally is super healthy (produce grown in its proper season, under the appropriate growing conditions, it contains more natural nutrients), go ahead: spread out some pizza dough and toss autumn on it!
