Nicki Minaj’s “Feeling Myself” feat. Beyoncé is one of our power anthems. It works for everything. Got an interview coming up? Blast it and dance. Had a bad day? Blast it and dance. Just need a reminder of why you’re awesome? Blast it and DAAAAANCE.
Well, get ready to not only feel yourself, but to feel the girl power that can only come from Bey and Nicki performing “Feeling Myself” TOGETHER. For the first time. Yes, the world is a wonderful place.
Last night, the two rocked the stage together at the Tidal X 10/20 concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and performed their Pinkprint duet live for the first time ever. As you’d expect, it was nothing short of flawless.
As MTV notes, when Nicki was on the Barclays stage during her Pinkprint tour in July, the opening notes of “Feeling Myself” were longer than normal due to a technical difficulty. . . and the audience saw a silhouette of someone who looked like Bey, but alas, was not. It was all just a big tease, but it made this October reunion that much sweeter. This performance was “all fierceness and smiles,” MTV notes, and the two had been rehearsing together for hours to create a totally amazing, choreographed on-stage sensation.
Even though there were plenty of other performers at the concert — Jay Z, Meek Mill, T.I., and Rick Ross, to name a few — all anyone could talk about was Nicki and Beyoncé, and for good reason. Like, just peep Bey’s entrance:
And then the goddesses came together and we all cried actual real human tears.
Also, this moment:
YAAAAAS QUEENS. Yep, all is right with the world. We just ask Nicki and Beyoncé to let us know next time so we can be there and watch the amazingness for ourselves IRL.
