This dog photobombed his owner's engagement pix so hard
Blended families can be a bit of challenge. But when we think about the stress of merging two households, we’re usually assuming there’s a child involved. Oftentimes, several children. Well in the case of engaged couple Megan Determan and Chris Kluthe, the biggest challenge they’re facing has four legs and a tail.
Meet Louie, an adorable 6-year-old dachshund who’s clearly head over heels in love with his owner, Megan. So in love that he wants to make it clear to the world that he WILL NOT BE REPLACED. Certainly not by the likes of Chris. In case there were any doubts about who has first dibs on Megan’s affection, Louie decided to set the record straight by photobombing the couple’s engagement photo shoot in the most massive (and HILARIOUS) way.
We’re laughing our heads off, guys. Subtle, Louie. Real subtle. Notice how, at just the right moment, he not only leaps in front of the camera, but manages to do so in a way that Chris is completely covered up. (Is Chris even in this picture? Oh, there he is! Nice ear. That’s his ear, right? TBH, we can’t even tell.)
The pics were taken by husband and wife team Dan and Karin of DnK Photography. Karin told WCCO News, “Usually, if someone’s face was blocked out, we wouldn’t deliver a picture. This one is obviously . . . a special case.”
Perhaps Megan and Chris shouldn’t be all that surprised. Even though the three of them are a family now, Louie has certain opinions whenever Megan tries to show Chris a little affection. He’s not exactly a fan. Megan told Valley News Live, “I feel like Louie’s always just kinda like that. Anytime I go to touch Chris, he’s like, no, I want to be pet.” Yeah, he does apparently.
So what does Chris think of this epic photo (because we really, really love it)? “I knew he was going to be in the shot. I didn’t know he was that much in the shot,” he said.
Um, something tells us Chris needs to get used to it. Just saying.
We should mention that Louie was kind enough to let Chris and Megan have a few nice, normal engagement shots. He was still in the pics, though. (Because of course he was.)
