If you were a child of the ’90s, you probably spent quite a few afternoons watching Gargoyles. It was a Disney animated TV show about gargoyles who were stone by day, but awakened to protect the streets of New York by night. So, when we heard that the show was being adapted into a cinestory comics series, we were so, so excited.

The cover art for Volume One of the cinestory was revealed yesterday, and we couldn’t love it any more.

We spy all of our old friends like Goliath, Hudson, Brooklyn, Lexington, Demona, and Elisa.

Joe’s Books is a comic book publishing company that owns the rights to create comics based on animated Disney movies and TV shows. Joe’s is perhaps best known for its cinestory graphic novels, which are comic books made with stills from the episodes and movies we know and love.

The Gargoyles cinestory will be released in mid-July, and will be an adaptation of five episodes from Season One of the show. It will even have a foreword from Greg Weisman, the original series creator. Pre-order it now!
