At 11:30 a.m. on Friday, a gunman launched an attack on a Planned Parenthood facility in Colorado Springs. The senseless tragedy injured and killed police officers and civilians, and even through the attack, various pro-life advocates continued to criticize the women’s health non-profit. The shooting happened after a rough year for the organization, which faced de-funding earlier this year and endured false accusations of selling fetal tissue.

However, despite this, Chrissy Teigen was unafraid of any backlash she may receive and encouraged her followers to support Planned Parenthood through this dark time, proving her commitment to the incredibly essential cause of women’s health.

“Every time sh*t like this happens, john [sic] and I immediately make another donation to planned parenthood [sic],” she tweeted, followed up with a link to the website where you can donate.

Of course, Chrissy got quite a few angry responses from pro-life users, calling her every name in the book.

However, Chrissy was totally unfazed by these responses. “Extremely fine with any unfollows,” she tweeted. “Would prefer it over your ignorant rants but I’m prepared either way. Nothing I haven’t seen before.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time Chrissy has taken a stand for women’s rights. She has been a very vocal advocate for body positivity, speaking out against Photoshopping. But this action matters even more than ever. The controversy surrounding Planned Parenthood is disheartening and frightening on its own, but in the aftermath of this senseless attack, the organization needs our help and support more than ever.

If you want to donate to Planned Parenthood, you can do so here. Thank you, Chrissy, for standing up for what’s right in the best way possible and for continuing to use your influential platform to help those who truly need it. We stand with Planned Parenthood, now and forever.
