If you’re a pet owner, you know what it’s like to be woken up by your cat or another lovable animal companion.

For some (we mean us) that means a 3 a.m. wake-up call when our dog can’t decide if she’s more comfortable on or off the bed. For cat owners, loud and spontaneous meows can serve as the world’s most effective, unwanted alarm clock.

So after one man’s cat meowed one too many times in the middle of the night, he decided to give the feline a taste of its own medicine.

While the kitty looks comfortably asleep, curled up on the bed, the man leans in close and lets out a long, loud “meeeeeeeeeeeooooooooooooow!” — and you can see the instant shock and confusion on the poor cat’s face.

“Were you sleeping? Were you sleeping? Don’t meow in the middle of the night!” the man says, having finally taken his revenge.

Something tells us his cat won’t listen.
