Whether you’re a fan of ’90s grunge band Nirvana or not, you’re probably familiar with “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” Here we are now, entertain us should ring a bell—it’s a touchstone of the era after all.

And just when you thought there was nothing more to love about the song, or its memorable music video and the pep-rally-gone-wrong aesthetic that launched a million mosh pits, there comes a casting call poster that shows us exactly what made that video so great.

As Uproxx points outs, it was Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain who encouraged director Samuel Bayer to let the extras mosh at the end of the music video. The rest—including the outsized success of Nirvana’s Nevermind—is punk rock history. Check out the iconic video below.
