Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds will reportedly be buried next to one another, and this just seems so right
This week saw the loss of one of the most iconic Hollywood mother-daughter duos the world has ever known. And now, Todd Fisher has let us know that Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher will be buried next to one another in a joint service.
In an interview excerpt from ABC’s 20/20, Todd Fisher said that his mother and sister’s final resting place will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles. He noted that they decided on the specific plot of land because of the presence of hummingbirds.
Todd also noted that he didn’t believe that his mother died of a broken heart — as many are speculating. He simply said he believed shem “left to be with Carrie,” and that if anyone had the power to do something like that, “it was my mother.”
We’re so glad that even in during what is an unimaginably difficult time, Todd and his family are able to find these small moments of beauty and meaning. It warms our hearts to think that maybe, just maybe, Carrie and Debbie are together now, delighting everyone around them with their humor and light.
