If you are anything like me, you have always trusted Campbell’s Soup. Campbell’s is that “mmm, mmm good” soup that makes you feel warm and snuggly, while also reminding you of your childhood and also actually filling you up with delicious soup.

But we also know that food has changed a lot since our childhood. There are plenty of food items and companies we always loved that could use a little work and revamping when it comes to the ingredients in their products. And recently, as reported by NBC News, Campbell’s Soup is ready to make those changes.

Starting with their limited edition “Star Wars Healthy Kids Shaped Pasta with Chicken in Chicken Broth,” Campbell’s will begin including only 20 ingredients rather than 30 in most of their soups. The special edition soup will be the first of what Campbell’s expects will be a big change for their soup. Denise Morrison, CEO of Campbell’s, spoke about the change, claiming that:

Yay! No one likes artificial ingredients! Morrison went on to say:

We love seeing brands keep up with newfound research and food demands. What once was true does not always remain true, and if we don’t need the extra ingredients, why not get rid of them?

The Star Wars soup — and hopefully plenty of soups to follow — will not include the following ingredients:

Egg whites, potassium chloride, monosodium glutamate, chicken flavor, maltodextrin, celery, cornstarch, disodium insosinate and diosdium guanylate, lactic acid, and flavoring.

If you can’t pronounce it, you should probably not eat it! That’s why I avoid quinoa. (Just kidding. I avoid it because I’m allergic.)

It’s rad knowing that Campbell’s is joining the ranks of Kraft, Nestle, and other food companies we loved as kids! Bring it on, healthiness!
