World, meet Laila Naim. Laila Naim, meet World. This five-year-old is making history and headlines by just being her adorable, doe-eyed self. As Burberry’s first Pakistani model EVER, she’s already been featured in magazines like Red, Marie Claire, and Tatler. Her mom Sadia tells that her daughter is a natural model, treating her Burberry photo-shoot like it was cake: “She loves the camera and is a natural, at her first shoot the shoot’s creative director asked if she had been doing this for a long time! She was totally comfortable in front of the camera and Burberry team.”

Even though Laila is the face of Burberry’s children line (NBD or anything), she’s totally a normal little girl who reportedly loves Frozen, annoying her brother, hot chocolate, and “Shake it Off,” by T-Swift (us too, Laila, us too).

It’s awesome to see Burberry diversify their brand, especially since they pride themselves on being a “global community.” The mission statement on their website asserts, “The Burberry ethos is to establish its business as a vibrant global community made up of diverse individuals, from varied backgrounds, who are connected through shared values and purpose.” It looks like they’re carrying this through: Last month, the UK fashion line signed on their first ever Indian model, Neelam Johal, and hopefully this trend continues.
