As if we didn’t love Brie Larson enough already, the actress is going advocate. At the community and arts space Junior High in Hollywood, Larson will be hosting a silent auction on December 3rd. If you live in the Los Angeles area, you can bid on pepper sprays designed by artists and celebs and take part in self-defense classes. Not only could you get yourself a can of artfully-designed pepper spray, but you can help support a couple of good causes and learn how to protect yourself all at once.

The proceeds from the auction will benefit the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Project Callisto. If you haven’t heard of it, Callisto creates technology to help fight sexual assault, so it’s a pretty perfect group to support through the purchase of pepper spray.

And here are just some of the pepper sprays that will be available at the auction.

Talented people have contributed to the cause by designing their own pepper sprays, including musicians Kimya Dawson, Samantha Ronson, and Alex Greenwald — who is also Larson’s fiancé.

Larson designed some pepper spray herself, too!

Based on the use of #NotMyPresident in the flyer promoting this event, it’s clear that the violence that has occurred since Donald Trump was elected as president was the inspiration for this event with the theme of self-defense. Along with immigrants, Hispanics, the LGBTQ community, Jewish people, black people, Muslims, and other minorities, women also have been feeling unsafe in a president-elect Trump world.

This combination of pepper spray and self-defense classes for a good cause is empowering and sending a message. So if you’re looking for a funky and stylish way to defend yourself, check out Junior High’s event hosted by Larson on December 3rd.
