Bill Nye the Science Guy, our collective favorite science teacher, has presented us with an educational video that demonstrates how evolution works, biologically. But he doesn’t just teach us using a chalkboard or like, pictures of cells dividing. PSH. That stuff is for squares! Bill Nye employs EMOJIS as he discusses reproducing cells, how complicated organisms were created, and exactly how old our earth is (spoiler: 4.54 BILLION YEARS OLD you guys).

Yesterday, Bill Nye teamed up with General Electric’s #EmojiScience project to, you know, conduct some science experiments. If you wanted to see Bill Nye do something cool (when is he not, though?), all you had to do was Tweet an emoji to @GeneralElectric with the hashtag #EmojiScience, and you might have gotten a video response from the genius himself!
