Okay, so we know that Bigfoot is PROBABLY just a myth and PROBABLY not actually real BUT there is a possibility that all the cryptozoologists are right and the large, hairy, bipedal humanoid is out there, somewhere in the North American wilderness.

So, operating under the possibility that Bigfoot is real (ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE, YOU GUYS), there is a possibility that this tourist just spotted Sasquatch and captured some footage and the tourist’s pet Yorkie scared the mythical monster away before anything bad could happen to his human.

As Eric Walters, a Boone, N.C. resident who was in Asheville, N.C. for the weekend explained to WBTV, he was out for a walk with his Yorkshire Terrier Zippy when he spotted what looked to him like Bigfoot. He started filming with his phone as his dog started chasing the maybe-monster away.

“I quickly realized it was not a bear, but a Sasquatch,” Walters told WBTV. “Zippy could tell I was scared and got so riled up that he got loose and went after it.”

Walters is so proud of his super-brave dog for protecting him and saving him from a possible encounter with the monster.

“Yorkies are small in size, but bigger than even a Sasquatch in heart,” Walters told WBTV.

So we may never know if Walters actually saw Bigfoot (check out the video below, amateur cryptozoologists, and draw your own conclusions), but we do know that this story gives us even more proof that little pups are just as brave as their bigger counterparts and that dogs really are man’s best friend.

Okay, video time!
