All the home stuff we bought this year that made us feel like nesting
Plants! My roommates probably think I’m insane because I’ve essentially turned our apartment into a greenhouse. Succulents, fresh flowers, herbs, potted flowers, small potted trees … they just make the house so much more exciting! I especially like plants in the bathroom, the plants like living in the bathroom too because it’s so humid.
Flowers poster by Debbie Carlos: This gorgeous engineering print makes me nostalgic for suburbia, for childhood bike rides, and for picking the neighbors’ roses. It’s pretty and simple and makes an excellent addition to any space.
My charcoal BBQ. This summer I took it upon myself to conquer my fear of burning down the house, and learned to use the thing. And holy hell, was I happy I did.
I found out about Litographs, which makes beautiful posters (and T-shirts and totes) using quotes from your favorite book. I’m a book nerd, so these are definitely at the top of my wish list
Felt-covered hangers. They are magic for organization.
My Keurig, for keeping me well-supplied in cups of coffee.
I’m all about those reed diffusers, baby. They make my apartment smell like a damn forest—and I love it.
A painting of a hummingbird I bought from a street vendor in Venice Beach. It now hangs above my desk and totally makes my day with its bright colors.
