Amazon's sample section lets you try before you buy — for only $2 a pop
Anyone who is *blessed* enough to enjoy an Amazon Prime membership knows just how life-changing it can be. Where else can you get FREE two-day shipping on everything from beauty products and a huge variety of plants to last-minute birthday gifts and tech gadgets? It’s every shopping lover’s dream. And now, everyone’s favorite e-commerce company has upped its game with Amazon Prime Samples — and yes, it’s just as awesome as it sounds.
Here’s the deal: Amazon Prime Samples offers a variety of sample-sized items priced between $2 and $4. For every pint-sized product you buy, you snag a credit equal to that price for use toward future purchases of full-sized products in that particular category. (For example, if you purchase a toothpaste sample for a couple bucks, you’ll receive a $2 credit you can redeem for a regular-size tube next time.)
Available product categories under Amazon Prime Samples include skin care, food and beverages, sports nutrition, grooming, and more. It’s perfect for when you’re interested in a product but want to try it before you commit. You can even grab boxes with multiple samples inside (think Birchbox), which are available by brand (e.g. Aveeno or Purina cat food) or product type (e.g. women’s skin and hair care).
While Amazon Prime Samples has been around for a while, it’s been pretty under-the-radar until recently. Naturally, Twitter is pretty stoked.
Amazon Prime Samples ship for free and arrive 3-5 business days after ordering. A bit longer than the standard two-day shipping, but we think it’s worth the wait.
The only question is, which sample box do we get first? We’re torn between the Luxury Women’s Beauty Box…
…and the Luxury Sun Care Sample Box. With summer coming, it’s even more important to take care of your skin!
Alas, you can only shop Amazon Prime Samples if (you guessed it) you’re an Amazon Prime member.
But considering the credit you’ll get for every sample purchase, you might end up saving money in the long run. So, what are you waiting for? Get to (sample) shopping!
