12 "Full House" press photos that we absolutely needed in our lives
How well do you know the Tanner family? Did you notice when they got rid of one of their plaid living room couches? Did you know that D.J. stands for Donna Jo or that Danny’s wife was named Pam? Do I wish I didn’t know those things, and that there was space in my brain for quantum physics? Of course. It’s not flattering that my youth was passed pretending I lived in a fictitious and geometrically impossible San Francisco row house. It’s equally unflattering that my entire day has unfolded inside a darkening rabbit hole of late ’80s Full House press photos. But this is my truth. And these are the photos. And now we must share them.
I like this one for so many reasons. Uncle Jesse’s subtle peace sign, Danny’s terrified grimace, Stephanie’s sweater, the simple fact that the whole gang is present for the changing of Michelle’s diaper.
Entire episodes could be written about this unexpected shade of green — Uncle Jesse’s later-in-life bout with jaundice, Uncle Jesse and in the ineffective tanning booth, Uncle Jesse and the bad lighting.
The casual pose and cuffed sleeves say, “I’m D.J. Tanner, and I’m just a delight.”
Hauntingly beautiful. A man and his Popeye figurines.
I don’t care which Olsen twin this is, it is truly precious.
Even out of focus, Danny’s soulful, knowing eyes are filled with dad wisdom.
No further proof needed as to why Stephanie was always my favorite.
Exceptional props here: plastic foot on high chair, Pooh Bear filled with balls, Raggedy Andy, baby doll, baby bottle. A literal cornucopia of baby toy whimsy.
The quiet hero here is Uncle Joey, who has subtle hands outstretched waiting to catch baby poop.
Well hello there, Mr. Tanner.
Nothing says family like a whimsical foot nibble and two rather uncomfortable men.
That’s all folks.
