Wedding season is here and with it comes the inevitable slew of questions regarding proper etiquette. What do I wear? Is it alright to just give cash? Can I leave before the cake-cutting (although I’m not sure why you would do that—have you SEEN the cakes people are getting these days)?

One of the most common questions is “Can I bring a date?” Of course, that, in and of itself, opens up an entirely new set of queries. Who should I invite? What if they don’t know the bride and groom?
