Get ready to shine bright and shine far, “Life-Size 2” is officially happening
The Disney Channel Original Movie Gods have looked down on us, and blessed us today with some tremendous news: The sequel to 2000’s Life-Size is officially happening, and happening so soon.
We first learned of this ah-mazing news all the way back in 2015. Now, two years later, it’s all coming true. According to Variety, Freeform — the sister site of Disney Channel — has officially green-lit the movie and Eve and all her accessories are finally coming back to TV.
The only thing is that we’ve still got to wait till Christmas 2018 to see the movie, but let’s look on the bright side of everything, LIFE-SIZE IS GETTING A SEQUEL. Get your younger self on the phone, because they are going to be stoked.
For this larger-than-life doll outing, Eve is now all grown up, and as Variety describes:
"This time, she’s magically awoken to help a young woman learn to live and love again, and along the way, Eve herself will experience the ups and downs of real life in the telepic that’s described by the network as a 'fun, edgy, modern Christmas movie.'"

Even better, yes, Tyra Banks is once again reprising her role as Eve, and will also serve as executive producer. Back in 2015, when the news of a sequel first broke, Banks explained that to Disney Channel, “Life-Size is so precious,. It’s like their baby, so they just want it perfect. They keep re-doing it, and re-doing it, and re-doing the script, and we are in another round of redos, and we’re hoping for Christmas 2016.”
Well, clearly “Christmas 2016” became “Christmas 2018,” but hey, good things come to those who wait. And TBH, we’d wait a whole lifetime for a Life-Size sequel.
