Bad news: Lindsay Lohan officially won’t be appearing in Life Size 2

Update, July 27th, 2018: After much speculation, it looks as though Lindsay Lohan officially won’t be appearing in Life Size 2. In a statement to People.com, a representative for Freeform said, “Due to the production schedule for her new reality show, she wasn’t available.” (Lohan’s reality show will take place in Greece at her beachside property and business, and does not yet have an official premiere date).

Shine bright, shine far, Life Size 2 has a star…and we’re hoping Lindsay Lohan can’t be too far — from filming, that is. In April 2018, Tyra Banks all but confirmed that Lohan would be reviving her iconic role of Casey Stuart in the highly-anticipated Life Size sequel. After all, Eve’s great (see what we did there?), but the OG Disney Channel original movie thrived on Eve and Casey’s unmatchable dynamic.

So naturally, when Banks posted to Instagram on July 9th to write that Francia Raisa will be co-starring as Grace Manning, fans had one question: Where on earth is LiLo?

“Now filming: LIFE SIZE 2,” Banks posted to her Insta feed on July 9th. “It’s time y’all! You’ve waited long enough. Could not find one single woman more perfect to co-star with Eve than the magnificently fierce @franciaraisa.”

Raisa is best known for her role on Grownish (and for casually donating a kidney to Selena Gomez), and fans are generally super excited about the casting choice. According to Freeform, she’ll be playing the “confident and funny CEO of Marathon Toys, a huge toy company started by her mother that is most famous for manufacturing the iconic Eve doll.”

Still, Lindsay Lohan fans have concerns about the fact that the actress is seemingly absent from the franchise. After all, what is Life Size without Lohan?

"Lindsay Lohan will be in Life-Size 2," Banks said back in April during an interview with Steve Harvey. "Yes! I really really want her to. We’re talking about it right now and she has got to come back!"

To be fair, we don’t know for sure that Lohan won’t be making an appearance. We just know that she doesn’t seem to be on set now. But hey, if it’s any consolation, we also know we’re definitely getting a fierce “Be a Star” remix for the reboot.

Life-Size 2 is slated to premiere in December during Freeform’s 25 Days of Christmas special. Needless to say, WE CAN’T WAIT.
