Liam Payne hung out with the queen, NBD
There are few honors higher than meeting the Queen. Former One Directioner Liam Payne hung out with the Queen this past week. Of course, we’re jealous — of them both, tbh.
Liam looked as dapper as ever in a black suit and glasses. He looked are a bit Harry Potter-esque, tbh. Liam got to shake the queen’s hand. Then, she gave him her best regal smile. Because let’s face it, Liam is absolutely adorable.
Furthermore, Prince Harry was also in attendance, so we’re DOUBLE jealous. They were all gathered at Buckingham Palace for the Young Leaders Award Ceremony to celebrate exceptional 18-29-year-olds doing good things across the UK.
Looks like Liam had a great time.
"An absolute honour to meet the Queen today on such a fantastic occasion," Liam wrote.
The members of the Queen’s Young Leaders at the event were selected because they are doing outstanding community service and finding ways to better the lives of those around them. They receive special training and networking sessions to be able to go out and help make this world a better place. Additionally, the organization gives grants to programs around the UK that are making strides to better the lives of children in their communities.
"Privileged to share the room with such inspirational @queensyoungleaders, hear their stories and how they are helping to rebuild and preserve a sometimes broken world🙏🏼," Liam wrote.
Liam Payne has been having a pretty amazing few months. Not only did he get to meet the freakin’ Queen, but he also became a dad to a little boy named Bear. Furthermore, his first single “Strip That Down” was released. He’s gotten to perform it around the US, and premiere it on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Does that mean that an album is soon to follow? One can only hope!
