Liam Payne is now a dad, and he shared the sweetest picture of his new son!
Congratulations are definitely in order for Liam Payne, who is officially a dad! Payne and longtime girlfriend, Cheryl Cole, have welcomed their first child together and we’re so happy for them.
What’s not to love about a baby? The answer is everything is to love, just everything.
While we’re still not over the fact that the former One Direction singer is no longer a boy bander, this is great news.
The happy couple are officially parents and the photo they’ve shared is too cute.
On Saturday, the new parents confirmed that they have welcomed a new member into their family. Their first child, a baby boy, was born on Wednesday, March 22nd and he’s precious.
"My close friends and family know there are very few times when I'm left speechless... wow!" Payne began his touching post. "I'm incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it's a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far."
The sweet father-son moment shows Payne holding his new baby boy. If you didn’t love the British singer before, prepare to swoon now.
"I'm completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she's really made my dreams come true," he continued. "We haven't named him yet but he's already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed. Happy Mother's Day everyone!"
Yes, the newest member of the One Direction fan club was born just days before the UK’s Mother’s Day.

The beautiful new mother also shared the same photo and a sweet caption of her own.
"On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn't have a name he is already stealing hearts," Cole wrote.
"We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival," she continued. "Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever 💙"
The overjoyed parents first announced they were expecting in February, after People confirmed the news in early November.
Payne is the second member of One Direction to become a father. His former bandmate Louis Tomlinson became a dad in January 2016.
Now all we need is a playdate between Tomlinson and Payne’s sons and we’d be set.
