Liam Hemsworth had a classy response to interviewer who asked if his engagement to Miley was “impulsive”

While promoting his new movie Independence Day: Resurgence, Liam Hemsworth was asked by News.com.au if he shared any common traits with his movie character Jake Morrison, an Earth Space Defense fighter pilot who helps save the planet from a second alien invasion.

Hemsworth admitted that they do have at least one thing in common — being impulsive.

“I do like doing things that give me an adrenaline rush,” he said.

He was then asked if his engagement to Miley Cyrus, who was only 22 at the time, was impulsive.

“I don’t think that was impulsive,” he said firmly. “That was a well thought-out idea.”

And based on the tone he took with the interviewer, it’s clear he has no interest in humoring rude questions. Classy move for a classy guy. This isn’t the first time Hemsworth has answered questions about Miley with utmost grace. Back in October, the actor told Men’s Fitness that, “You fall in love with who you fall in love with; you can never choose. I guess some people just come with a little more baggage. I mean, look — [Miley and I] were together five years, so I don’t think those feelings will ever change.” Awww.

While the two haven’t officially confirmed anything about their relationship, Hemsworth recently posted this photo, posing with Cyrus and the late great Muhammad Ali.

And Cyrus posted a picture the other day of herself wearing a Hemsworth jersey. If that isn’t love, we don’t know what is.
