LGBTQ+ people have started a beautiful self-love movement with this hashtag

In the wake of the shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, there has been a huge outpouring of support from all over. While in the midst of this incredibly devastating tragedy, the LGBTQ+ community has come together to support each other in so many ways. There have been beautiful vigils all over the world, and people have shown their support for each other on social media nonstop since this weekend. Now, there’s a new hashtag trending on Twitter, with the aim of allowing people to take a moment for self-love. The hashtag is #queerselflove, and it’s specifically for members of the LGBTQ+ community — allies have been asked to amplify, rather than speak over, which is a great rule of thumb for LGBTQ+ issues in general: false

Here are some of the beautiful tweets and selfies found by searching the hashtag: false false false false false false

Aren’t they wonderful? It’s so beautiful to see these people share their stories and add their voices to the important conversation about what it means to be queer in today’s world. It’s inspiring to see people participating in self-love, and we’re all for selfies as self-care — especially in times when we need it most. We’ll be checking back on this hashtag all day long for a dose of positivity and self-love, and we’ll likely find a whole bunch of wonderful new people to follow, as well. Tweet your own selfie, if you’re part of the LGBTQ+ community, or retweet some of the selfies to amplify the conversation!
