Letter from the editor: You can put away your Uggs now
When I think “April” I think “it’s time to dig through the closet and donate anything you haven’t worn in months and organize your desk, and finally clean that weird stain on the rug you’ve been ignoring, and MAYBE clean the fridge if you’re feeling ambitious.” Finally a moment to go through your stuff and renew and refresh and feel like a whole new person because of it. Symbolically, it makes sense. The snow has melted and all the cold, dead things are reborn and voila, spring! Flowers! Bugs! Out with the old, in with the online shopping, amirite?
Spring cleaning has endless definitions, though. So, this month, HG will be examining all the different ways we can give our day-to-day a thoughtful revamp. We’ll be writing about our relationships and how maybe it’s time to reevaluate some of them. About how easy it is for toxicity to seep into our life, especially when social media is such a big part of it. About attainable goals and setting them if that’s the kind of thing you want to do. About getting enough sleep and setting up some chill time at the end of the day to read a book and eat some ice cream in bed.
I’m going to keep this month’s Letter from the Editor short and sweet, because it’s finally skirt-without-wool-leggings and colorful slingback season, and there’s not a moment to waste! Put some sunscreen on, go outside, and get re-acquainted with this pretty world.
