Leslie Jones totally had a “Pretty Woman” moment at the “Ghostbusters” premiere

The new Ghostbusters movie is a big deal, and SNL leading lady Leslie Jones is one of the kickass women who has a significant role in the 1980s remake. Also a big deal? Movie premieres, in part because there’s enormous pressure for women to dress to the nines for their photographs on the red carpet.

The 48-year-old funnywoman implied that because she isn’t a sample size, she didn’t have any designers knocking her door down with hundreds of gowns at her disposal, so she took to Twitter for another try at designer recruitment. Leslie’s tweet was right to the point: false

Of course, that attracted the attention of designer Christian Siriano, the mega-talented Project Runway alum who won the top prize in 2008. He immediately met up with Leslie for a fashion consultation, and it looks like the two of them had an epic time.

The results were nothing short of stunning: Siriano outfitted Jones in a long, bright red, off-the-shoulder dress that looked like it was right out of Pretty Woman, straight down to the off-the-shoulder cut and thigh-high slit.

Jones looked super confident and classy in her dress. “We just talked and he just knows a woman’s body!” she told Us Weekly. “He knew what to make for me and he did good! I love it.”

Siriano couldn’t help but gush over Jones, and his words say it ALL: “Simple, elegant, powerful, and chic!!” But the designer, 30, took time to make a more serious statement about how Hollywood treats gorgeous women who can’t fit into a certain size.

“It shouldn’t be exceptional to work with brilliant people just because they’re not sample size,” he wrote on Twitter. “Congrats aren’t in order, a change is.”

Considering Leslie’s meteoric rise to fame, some other well-known designers are probably asking if they made a big mistake by not offering to dress her.

Regardless, Leslie definitely had her Pretty Woman moment and looked nothing short of flawless.

We just can’t help but… WOW.

Stunning dress aside, it totally looks like Leslie had a fantastic night with her co-stars at the premiere, so yeah, we’re feeling a bit envious right now.

We’re excited to see Leslie and her fellow comedy queens (aka Kristin Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, and Kate McKinnon) slay in Ghostbusters (July 15th you can’t come soon enough!).
