Lena Waithe wore the pride flag at the 2018 Met Gala, which makes a true fashion statement
Lena Waithe is one to watch in awe (in terms of her interviews, shows, and general wealth of talent), and her look at the 2018 Met Gala is no exception. Though we are certainly gawking at tonight’s looks — the embellishments! headpieces! trains! oh my! — we can’t help but commend Lena Waithe for making a fashion statement of cultural value. As in, Lena used her platform to say something (not just show something). If that doesn’t make her a candidate for best dressed, we don’t know what does.
