Queen Cersei just officially endorsed Meryl Streep’s Golden Globes speech

In a not-so-surprising turn of events for everyone familiar of her work outside of Game of Thrones, Queen Cersei herself, Lena Headey, has endorsed Meryl Streep’s Golden Globes speech about Donald Trump and the fight against bullying.

Emphatically. Because that’s how Cersei gets things done.

After Streep took the stage to discuss — among other things — the importance of outsiders and foreigners to American culture when she accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award, nominee Headey, herself a Brit, expressed her overwhelming support for Streep’s message.

Because, y’know, in real life Headey cares way more about things like helping refugees than she does, say, burning cities to the ground or torturing girls named Sansa.

And in case you just so happened to miss it — and if so, what have you been doing with your life?! — here’s the portion of Streep’s speech that currently has the President-Elect of the United States mad on Twitter.

"There was one performance this year that stunned me. It sank its hooks in my heart. Not because it was good, there was nothing good about it, but it was effective and it did its job. It was that moment when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter. Someone he outranked in privilege, power and the capacity to fight back."

She was speaking, of course, about Trump allegedly mocking New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleskito, who has a condition that affects his joint movements, at a rally in November 2015. (Trump still maintains that he was not mocking Kovaleskito’s disability at the time.)

And since we just so happen to think that Streep’s words were perfect and Headey is a gift from the TV gods we do not deserve as a people, we are more than ready for these two actual queens to team up, conquer the globe, and fill it with kindness, rendering bullies like PEOTUS obsolete.
