That’s Lena Dunham’s campaign slogan for bestie America Ferrera, should she ever run for President. For which Lena IS holding her breath.
Ferrera campaigned hard for Hillary Clinton, as did Dunham, and we’re thinking (but not certain) that this is how the friends met. They’re both incredibly passionate, educated and crazy smart, so their friendship is like an obvious “duh.” And Wednesday night, Dunham gushed about Ferrera on Instagram.
“Whenever I’m near @americaferrera I truly can’t stop beaming. She appeared in my life like an angel and I ain’t never letting go. Can’t wait til she runs for prez and I can shout #americaforamerica”

You might remember, the two gave a joint speech at the Democratic National Convention.
“Hi. I’m Lena Dunham, and according to Donald Trump, my body is probably, like, a 2.”
“And I’m America Ferrera, and according to Donald Trump, I’m probably a rapist.”
“But America, you’re not Mexican,” Dunham responded.
“And President Obama isn’t Kenyan, Lena, but that doesn’t stop Donald,” Ferrera retorted.

Though the election went directly opposite of their hopes, both Ferrera and Dunham have transformed their shock and grief into action.
