Lena Dunham totally supports Kim Kardashian’s right to take a nude selfie

Kim Kardashian is pretty much the patron saint of the nude selfie.

There is absolutely no facet of the nude selfie lexicon that she has not addressed.

There’s the FaceTime Nude.

The Sort-of-Censored-but-Actually-Not-Really Nude.

And everyone’s favorite, the “Yo, Let Me Get Someone to do this Nude with Me” Nude.

However, Kimmy and her nudes are often met with criticism. Well, Lena Dunham isn’t having it. In a clip from the Power Women Breakfast hosted by The Wrap, Lena shows the Kardashians (and their selfies) some love. “I love the Kardashians – I love to look at them,” she says. “I’m all about it. Every version of being female and feeling powerful is fucking great with me. I don’t have a problem with it.”

Lena goes on to complain about the most annoying part of the current feminist movement— the policing of one another. She says, “I think that’s a big part of the problem with the feminist dialogue on the internet right now is like, why are we screaming at each other?”

The whole “What about my kids? What about Kim’s kids?” argument is also addressed. Lena shut them down with the following response, “I don’t think there are important conversations to be had about, like whether Kim Kardashian’s nude selfie is like negatively affecting me or my child. I don’t have a child, but I feel like that’s a lot of people’s arguments, like, ‘I don’t want my daughter growing up in this world.’ I’m like, ‘I want my daughter growing up in a world where there’s, like, a million options about what’s okay to do and how it’s okay to look.’ “

TELL IT THEN, LENA.
